About Transit Pass

It is a pass issued to travellers who are transiting only in Malaysia for less than 120 hours before continuing to their final destination BY AIR only. It is valid for certain countries and can only remain in KUALA LUMPUR ONLY during transit.

Importat Information:

The decision to issue a Transit Pass is subject to Immigration Officer discretion at point of entry. APPLYING eVISA PRIOR TO TRAVELLING IS MOST ADVISABLE.

Bridging Visa E holder is not entitle to obtain Transit Pass.

Passport valid for more than 6 months from day of entry

Confirmed onward ticket to a third country

Valid Australian or Third Country Visa.

Other condition

• For those on Australian Visitors Visa OR on Bridging Visa (EXCEPT for Bridging Visa E) MUST FLY with Air Asia or Malaysia Airlines only. Other than that they need to apply for visa prior to travelling.
• Permanent Resident of Australia is not subjected to as stated above.

Other option for transit pass

If you are not eligible on above condition, then you can apply general eVisa 30 days visa

• While applying eVisa 30 days visa, you can upload an covering letter and mention the purpose of visit. Upload this letter as accomodation proof.
• Mention the Airport address while filling accomodation address field.
